Reports to (title) : Sales Advisor Manager
Division : OXED

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Promote and sell specified lists within specified territories to ensure the successful achievement of sales objectives and to safeguard and develop the company image in the market place.

Responsible for the OXED list including primary and secondary textbooks, dictionaries & reference in your specified region, you will generate sales by contacting key decision makers in International Schools in the area via telephone and email to promote and sell the specified lists.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/KEY RESULT AREAS

1. Sales Results & Market Share

Achieve individual sales targets into set territories for the specified campaigns each term. Ensure net divisional surplus objectives met. Maintain CRM and expand on our customer information to reflect current market share using competitive awareness.

2. Sales Techniques & Product Knowledge

Demonstrate effective consultative sales techniques following Sales Training Models. Use your communication, sales and negotiation skills to good effect to maximise sales results. Maintain full knowledge of OXED lists including backlist titles so that you can take full advantage of all sales opportunities.

3. Territory Management

Demonstrate effective consultative sales techniques following Sales Training Models. Use your communication, sales and negotiation skills to good effect to maximise sales results. Maintain full knowledge of OXED lists including backlist titles so that you can take full advantage of all sales opportunities.

4. Relationship Management

Maintain professional relationships with schools, suppliers and organisations at all times to maximise sales results and insight into the market. Work closely with internal contacts and colleagues, and promote the department in a positive manner in all communication.

5. Systems and Data Collection

Play an active role in collecting and profiling important information regarding the schools in your markets. Help shape future sales and marketing strategies and build a strong pipeline of sales with your schools.

6. Teamwork

Work towards agreed sales targets, termly priorities and department objectives. Work closely with the local office and sales team to ensure a collaborative approach. Share information and best practice to ensure that the wider team succeed against their goals. Contribute ideas, questions and feedback and get involved in projects outside of your daily responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent communication and sales skills
  • Excellent commercial awareness and experience in a commercial environment
  • Proven experience of success working in a multi-communication sales environment
  • Strong ability to manage sales pipeline and close orders
